Facebook is a prominent go-to platform for staying connected with loved ones, especially for our small and medium-sized business clients. However, it’s important to acknowledge that it can also attract unwanted attention or even potential privacy risks. That’s why Facebook has introduced a handy new feature called Profile Lock. In this blog post, we’ll guide you through the steps to secure your Facebook profile effectively. By doing so, you can ensure that your content remains visible only to those you trust – your friends – while keeping prying eyes at bay. It’s a smart move for both personal and professional use, here’s how to set it up.

November 2024 update: It is not longer possible to lock your Facebook profile. We believe that Facebook implemented this feature as a test in select countries and then decided not to implement the feature worldwide. It appears that account that were locked during this testing phase remain locked, but no further Facebook accounts can be locked. At least from what we can see in here in Australia.

What exactly is Facebook Profile Lock?

Well, it’s a protective feature designed to empower users with greater control over their profiles. By implementing Profile Lock, it becomes significantly more challenging for unfamiliar individuals or potential stalkers to gain access to your personal content.
